Steps To Becoming A Franchisee?
1. Request for consideration – Potential franchisees will complete a confidential request for consideration. In this package we will use the information to help us determine if L.A. Italian Kitchen is in your future.
2. Meeting with an L.A. Italian Kitchen Franchise Representative and Be Given a UFOC
- Includes the explanation of L.A. Italian Kitchen Franchise agreement.
- Provides a range of costs to establish a new L.A. Italian Kitchen franchise or to purchase an already existing L.A. Italian Kitchen.
- Provide sales, cost of sales (food and labor) for stores opened one year or more.
3 Review the UFOC – Take ten business days to review the materials provided. During this period we will be assessing the possibility of your future with L.A. Italian Kitchen.
4. After 10 Days – If we agree to go ahead you are either a candidate for opening a new L.A. Italian Kitchen or purchasing an existing operation:
- Scenario A: Steps to establish a new L.A. Italian Kitchen.
1. You will receive the completed ready Franchise Agreement to be signed.
2. Take five days to review the Franchise Agreement.
3. After five days, should you decide to go forward, both parties sign the Franchise Agreement and the Franchise Fee is due at that time.
4. Lease for your location and proceed to develop/build out the restaurant.
5. Enter training program.
6. Prepare to open your store.
- Scenario B: Purchase An Existing L.A. Italian Kitchen Operation
1. Preview the restaurant and location;
2. Review the profit and loss statement;
3. Review the lease requirements.
4. You will receive the completed Franchise Agreement ready to be signed.
5. Take five business days to review the Franchise Agreement
6. After five days, should you decide to go forward, we will be open escrow with the following items:
- The signed franchise agreement.
- The franchise fee.
- Signed purchase agreement for the business.
- All deposits and consideration.
7. In preparation for the close of escrow the required items are:
- The documents to secure the leasehold will be ready for your signature.
- All deposits and consideration are due five days prior to the close.
8. Start the training program.
9. Closing of Escrow.
10. Take possession of the L.A. Italian Kitchen operation.

Support and Training
We at L.A. Italian Kitchen firmly believe that your ability as an owner will be greatly enhanced by the training you receive. You and/or your manager will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive training program at the corporate headquarters in Tustin, California. This training program will cover all the areas that are vital to your store’s operation. Additional training will be provided as needed. For all training we offer, you must pay any costs of travel, lodging, meals and other incidental expenses incurred by you or your employees.

Q: How much time do I have to spend running the store myself?
A: An L.A. Italian Kitchen is like any other business: it requires a substantial amount of time to make it successful. Be prepared to work long hours, especially at first, learning the business. Dedicated owner-operators who spend their time in the store run the best performing stores in any system.
Q: What are the sizes of your locations?
A: Our food court concept would require 500 to 1200 square feet dependent upon projected volume. Our concept can be developed on an individual store basis or in conjunction with a development agreement of up to five stores (details of the development agreement are provided in our Uniform Franchise Offering Circular).
Q: How many employees are needed to run a location?
A: The number of employees in your store will vary depending upon the size and location of your store. An average L.A. Italian Kitchen store would consist of one full time manager, and a crew of 10 full/part time employees.
Q: What is the cost to open an L.A. Italian Kitchen?
A: The cost to develop an L.A. Italian Kitchen is approximately $161,700 to $715,000. These costs are approximate and will be dependent upon the location and franchisee’s ability to perform.
Q: Does L.A. Italian Kitchen help with financing?
A: L.A. Italian Kitchen does not provide any financing, but we will assist you in putting together a financial package and work closely with you and your bank.

A: The initial term is for a ten year renewal and predicated on being financially, legally and operationally approved and is on current terms and conditions within the L.A. Italian Kitchen Franchise Agreement.
